(2021) For the city dressing of Rotterdam during the 65th edition of Eurovision Studio VOLLAERSZWART recruited six dutch designers to design a inspired by the event. To create these looks, the designers were given secondhand flags of European countries.
The beauty of these ragged and colorful flags served as the inspiration for a suit featuring alternative style adjustable trousers and an oversized blazer. I wanted to showcase the history of these flags by using the ragged parts and mixing different countries in the spirit of bringing the continent together. 
Instead of traditional buttons, the blazer uses hooks from the original flags as an alternative closure. The pockets and the belt feature a print inspired by my signature flowers and the European flag, screen-printed using water based inks. The looks were showcased in the window of the Bijenkorf Rotterdam and were used in the closing event of the Eurovision Song Contest.
